Target Audience:

The Accounting curriculum is designed to train accounting personnel on basic accounting principles as they relate to the residential construction industry quarter of the year.

Targeted job titles in this category will include office manager, accountant, bookkeeper, controller.

Delivery Mechanism:
The Accounting curriculum will be presented in a limited class size forum. Due to the intense dialog and interface between faculty and participants each program will be limited to 12 participating sites per class. Should more people desire to attend these sessions; additional classes or an additional full Accounting series will be scheduled.

Objectives:
The objective of the accounting tract is to teach accounting and financial management principles and procedures related to the residential construction industry to your accounting and financial management personnel. We want to give them the skills to control costs and provide timely and accurate financial reports.

Teaching Points:
The teaching points of the Accounting curriculum will include a series of class lessons followed up with assignments to be accomplished prior to the next lesson date.

The accounting series will develop the skills of accounting personnel in order that they can handle accounting procedures as they relate to the residential construction industry.

 

Class Schedule:
Starting on March 16, 2005 and the third Wednesday in February, March, April, May, June, August, September and October. The FMA accounting series will be presented at 1 PM Eastern Time. Each class is scheduled for 90 minutes in length and includes Q&A time during and after the program and an assignment at the end of each program to each participating company. Fees and Tuition:
The single event fee is $299/site per class offering. The entire Financial Management Curriculum (FMC) of nine courses is offered at an upfront cost of $2,199. This is an 18% DISCOUNT. Plus the 10th bonus class is free for those firms purchasing the entire series. The 2 part program on “Understanding your financial reports” is offered at a discounted price of $549 if selected together. Each site registration allows for as many people from the same firm as desire and can listen and see the computer screen or projection device to participate for this one low price.

Any firm attending at least two of the FMC series classes will be eligible to attend the bonus program for 50% ($150) of the standard $299 single class tuition rate.

SMA Consulting Retainer based clients ( Advisory Board, Executive Management, Controller or CFO clients) are eligible to attend for the single class rate of $250 or the upfront full series rate of $1,750.
