Steve
Maltzman
President / SMA Consulting
Steve Maltzman, president and founder of SMA
is a CPA with more than seventeen years experience working
within the construction industry both as a controller and
chief financial officer for various building and remodeling
firms. In addition, Steve spent over three years as product
manager for a leading developer of software for the construction
industry, and five years as an auditor and consultant for
a major CPA firm. Steve currently serves on NAHB’s Education
and Information Systems Committees and is a member of the
American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA). Steve Maltzman
holds an MBA degree in accounting from Rutgers University
and a BA from Dickinson College. |

Mike
Benshoof
Vice President / SMA Consulting
Mike Benshoof has 14 years of home building
and remodeling experience. He is currently the vice president
of SMA Consulting, which also provides the accounting and
financial analyses for the 600 plus members of the NAHB’s
Builder and Remodelor 20 Clubs annually. Most recently, he
was the Financial Research Manager for the Business Management
Department and then Director of Business Analysis for the
Economics Group of the National Association of Home Builders
(NAHB). Mike is a graduate of Penn State University and earned
his MBA with a concentration in Financial Management from
Marymount University. |

Whitten
Vice President / SMA Consulting
Bob is an expert in construction management
with more than 22 years of experience as a manager in the
housing industry. His past experience includes acting as executive
vice president for Land Solutions/Development Solutions in
Florida, chief financial and operations officer of Wayne Homes
of Ohio, the executive vice president for Cooper Homes, Inc
of Bella Vista, AR and director of business management for
the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Bob is also
a published and respected author. Bob holds a bachelor of
arts in business administration and accounting from William
Paterson College of Business in Wayne, N.J. |

Joe
Stoddard
Vice President / SMA Consulting
Joe Stoddard has spent over two decades pursuing
technology in the building industry. A working contractor
and homebuilder for 15 of those years, he has spent the past
decade as a private consultant, trainer, author, and speaker.
He is a regular contributor to Builder, Big Builder, TecHomeBuilder,
NW Builder, Remodeling, Tools of the Trade, and The Journal
of Light Construction magazines, and publishes "Connected
Contractor", a high-tech newsletter for the building
and construction industries. Joe serves on the prestigious
conference advisory board for A/E/C SYSTEMS International
and Computers for Construction conferences, and has presented
and produced technology events at the International Builders'
Show, among many others. |

Scholes
Senior Consultant / SMA Consulting
Paul has more than 10 years of industry experience
in management with David Weekley Homes and Cooper Homes, a subsidiary
of retirement community developer Cooper Communities, Inc. His
specializes in production management, estimating, warranty and
customer service systems, safety training programs and applying
technology to the pre-construction and post construction processes
to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Paul has obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Construction
Management from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the
University of Houston. |

Koehn
President / Beverly Koehn & Associates
Beverly Koehn has more than 20 years experience
in marketing, management and sales training. She's more than
just a sales trainer and coach - delivering strategies and solutions
for: Improved Sales Performance, Enhanced Customer Service,
Total Team Commitment, and Lasting Customer Loyalty. Beverly
recently received NAHB's highest honor, the Associate of the
Year Award. She is a Master Instructor for the NAHB University
of Housing and Home Builders Institute, as well as a licensed
Texas Real Estate broker. She has been a featured speaker and
seminar leader for the National Association of Home Builders.
She is also a featured author and contributor to numerous industry
